Custom domains

Love what you've done here! I'm a long-time Savvycal customer and evangelist, and you continue to impress. A few minor suggestions to consider on this great new feature: (1) I added multiple custom domains, but I can only select one of them to work on my profile. It'd be great to have all the domains active simultaneously, so I can use different domains for different links at my discretion. I was expecting this to be the behavior when adding multiple domains. (2) When someone cuts off the pathname and goes to my custom calendar domain (e.g., meet.mycompany.com), they get forwarded to savvycal.com homepage. While I understand the branding desire for you there, since I'm paying for white-label behavior, it would make more sense for me to have the option to choose where they get redirected, and I would prefer to redirect them people to my company's main website (i.e., mycompany.com). Just a thought!

Ben Sachs: Thanks for the kind words! We are planning to offer mapping the root domain to a particular individual/team -- not really an attempt at branding here with the redirect, just a scope thing for v1 of the feature :). Tracking this one here: https://feedback.savvycal.com/feature-requests/p/option-to-use-root-custom-domain-for-teams-individuals
We'll definitely keep an eye out for others expressing the need for (1). Would you be open to creating separate team scopes for these other "identities" (and mapping your custom domains to those)?

Derrick Reimer Those with large teams would probably feel differently, but I'm a solo Premium member with no actual "team" to speak of. But as a consultant, I create separate links for each of my clients to book time with me and use other links for other situations. A concept of "identities" might work for me, depending on what you mean by that. If you want the details on my situation just for background... I use 3 domains. My ideal use case would be that my company website would act as the domain for all my client links (about a dozen links), then I'd have a separate domain I'd use for the booking link I give my law students (I teach a class), and then use my "personal" web domain for times when I want to give a friend or new colleague my calendar but don't want to seem too corporate. So if by "identities" you mean to emcompass 3 use cases like that, that sounds great. I imagine I could create 3 separate "users" to accomplish something similar, but then I'd have to copy all my settings between each one, which would be annoying since all my identities use all the same availabilities, calendar links, integrations, etc.

Ben Sachs: Yes! Many folks use SavvyCal teams to do just that (even if it's just a team of one). For example, /derrick for personal, /abcinc for wearing the "ABC, Inc." hat, /xycinc for wearing "XYZ, Inc." hat, etc. Teams themselves come with no additional charge, so you can have as many as you like.
Ben Sachs
Derrick Reimer I'll try that - thanks!
